RASSGEFANNO

Rassgefanno is one of those sites that’s all about the simple beauty of diving. It’s an easy reef dive with vibrant, healthy coral gardens stretching out in every direction - a perfect spot when you’re in the mood for something a little more relaxed, but still packed with potential.  It’s also where we often do our check dives, giving you the perfect chance to settle in and fine-tune your setup before the big dives.

On the right day, this site absolutely lights up: big, curious schools of batfish love to circle divers here, giving photographers plenty of close-up opportunities.

And if you keep one eye on the blue, you might just be rewarded: There’s a good chance of spotting thresher sharks rising up from the deep for a quick visit to the cleaning stations scattered along the slope, and with a bit of luck, even a passing whale shark or a cruising tiger shark might glide through.

You’ll also notice remnants of old mooring lines draped across parts of the reef - now partly claimed by coral and marine life, they add a touch of history and texture to your shots, especially for those looking to capture something a little different.

It’s one of those places that reminds you: even a chill dive in Fuvahmulah can still serve up something extraordinary.
