Why Dive in February

Best visibility of the entire year (40m+)
Ideal for underwater photography
All dive sites accessible
Hammerhead activity at peak
Warm, clear water throughout

February is widely considered the single best month for diving in Fuvahmulah. Visibility regularly hits 40 metres or more - the clearest water you'll find anywhere in the Maldives. The dry season is at its peak with minimal rainfall and consistently calm conditions.

All species are active. Tiger sharks at Tiger Harbour, hammerhead schools along the southern reefs, thresher sharks at dawn cleaning stations. The exceptional clarity makes February the premier month for underwater photography.

This is the busiest period for Fuvahmulah dive tourism. Book well in advance - popular packages sell out weeks ahead. Despite the crowds, the diving experience remains excellent because the island's slot system limits diver numbers at each site.
